This week I have a sad kind of flower for those of you that follow history. I present to you Euphorbia Milii also known as "The Crown of Thorns" She flowers all year long to show her beauty maybe to seek forgiveness. Not only would you steer clear of her sap, it causes a skin reaction very similar to poison ivy. It is also very toxic and used to kill and stun fish. Please enjoy this sharp and toxic beauty.

I've never seen these crown of thorns! Love the look and color of these flowers! So, hard to imagine it's so dangerous!

LOvely flowers. So many beautiful colours of Nature. Thank you for seeing such beauty. I have now joined Floral Friday.
I'm in, I'm sorry if you couldn't access to my last entry for week 3. My blog got busted...am in with a new one. Have a happy and floral weekend to all.
Lovely little flower. Same family as Pointsettia--and with the same sticky white sap. MB
Beautiful! And a belated happy birthday to you, all the way from Spain!
I have a plant like this.. on my windowsill. I'm glad I read your post, now I know that it's poisonous. As if its thorns were not enough?!
